All Star LSV's are manufactured primarily for use on public streets. They also make excellent golf cars. With 8 batteries the Star LSV has a longer driving range than most golf cars & LSV's in the same class. This model can also be upgraded to a 2-in-1 flip up rear seat. Star Electric vehicles are desiged as LSV's or low-speed vehicles. As low-speed vehicles, these 20 to 25 mile-per-hour vehicles are subject to a new Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 500 (49 CFR 571.500) established by the Final Rule.
Eligable for 2009 Federal Tax Credit of $5335.60
The Internal Revenue Services (IRS) has officially issued JH Global Service a letter of certification acknowledging that the 2009 and 2010 Star Electric Low Speed Vehicles meet the requirements of the Qualified Plug-in Electric Vehicle Credit as Qualified Plug-in Electric Vehicles.
The letter states that "we have determined that the purchaser(s) of this Qualified Plug-in Electric Vehicle may rely on the certification concerning the vehicle's qualification for the Qualified Plug-in Electric Vehicle Credit".
