It depends on how much use is being put on the vehicle. Under normal circumstances if the vehicle is used for golf 3 or more times a week, you should have it serviced every 6 months or 100 rounds of golf. If you don't use your vehicle for golf, than we recommend you have it checked and serviced by a qualified tech. every 50-100 hours. specifically, we recommend having your cart serviced by a trained technician.
The 3 most important things you need to do on a monthly basis are:
- For Flood Lead Acid betteries: Wash battery tops, battery compartment, underside of vehicle & clean with baking soda/water solution.
- Keep battery water filled to proper level with distilled water.
- Check your tires air pressure & adjust if necessary.
It depends on what make & model of golf cart you have. If you have a 48 Volt Club Car, with a round charger DC cord plug, plug it in every time you finish using the vehicle. The car should always be plugged in when it is being parked or stored.
It is best to use distilled water in your batteries to avoid adding minerals that are found in other types of water.
We reccomend using a microfiber cloth and a cleaner safe for acrylic, plastic, and/or plexiglass, which can usually be found at your local auto parts store or a hardware store. Never use an ammonia or alcohol based cleaner on an acrylic windshield.
Yes, it is a great idea to wax the finish of your painted body panels. Make sure you use a very soft & clean cloth! You can purchase the correct supplies for this at your local auto parts and/or hardware store.
